Every business has a story that explains how it bacame what it is and what it represents today. Our story is no different, except for our most humbe beginnings with one man, one truck and one BIG heart to serve.

In 1991, Troy Wilson and his wife, also the owner, started the business with fiberglass insulation. It was just Troy and one truck.

In 1994, Troy added Nu-Wool ® Cellulose and hired 3 employees. He saw the difference Cellulose made in insulation performance, and what it would do to help out with energy bills.

Starting in 1998, Air Tight Insulation became one of the first Nu-Wool ® exclusive dealers and certified Nu-Wool ® installers in the area.

Going into 2000, Air Tight Insulation stopped installing fiberglass and an all Nu-Wool ® Cellulose company and continued to expand.

In 2004, Air Tight Insulation obtained some specialized and latest equipment to better install the product and meet increasing demand. It was becoming more and more evident that Cellulose was the future of insulation and energy savings.

Five years later, Air Tight Insulation became a certified installer of Nu-Seal ® foam and has also expaned to 8 employees.

Troy Wilson, General Manager, has 18 years of highly professional experience in inuslation and energy savings. Chad Crowson, Field Manager, has 13 years of highly professional experience. Our remaining crew has a combined experience of 28 years. Yearly, every member of our crew has to be re-certified to maintain Nu-Wool's ® high standard of excellence.

Recently, Troy Wilson and Chad Crowson were rewarded ceritifications as Building Professionals by the Buidling Performance Institute, Inc.
